Timbaland - Hands In The Air Feat. Ne-Yo (Shreddie Mercury Remix)

After having won Zedd's remix contest for Spectrum, Shreddie is taking advantage of a new found fan base by putting out a new remix of the track Hands In The Air by Timbaland. Surprisingly enough, this remix really has a Zedd influence. Hmmmm. This is an epic remix nonetheless and it's deserves the attention despite Shreddie having won the contest.
Enjoy,

SYNTEX - Summer Synopsis Mix

As the summer truly winds down and I head back to school next Tuesday, not all hope is lost yet. While this one on the shorter side, Syntex's Summer Synopsis Mix is a great mashup and to be honest it sort of reminded me he was still alive as he hasn't been to active of late. However, this serves as a redemption and much more as this mix is a great mashup. With a ton of top 40 tracks and some of the best track in EDM, Syntex is back with a ton of bootlegs in there. Give the mix a listen and watch for some bootlegs in the near future.
Enjoy,

Koan Sound- Eastern Thug

Yet another track from the EP, Eastern Thug is a little more on the heavy side, it builds up really nicely and the drop is a little more on the heavy side that we're used to from Funk Blaster.

After their cross Canada adventure, Skrillex and Pretty Lights collaborate again this time driving a new festival appropriately titled With Your Friends.

The two day festival is set in Nashville and the full lineup includes Skrillex, Pretty Lights, Dillon Francis, 12th Planet, Michel Menert, Tokimonsta, singer Santigold, and the rapper Nas.

While it doesn't have a massive lineup, it's only the first of it's kind. If you have the opportunity to go, tickets are available here.

Professional Griefers Music Video

Here we have it folks, the Professional Griefers video dropped yesterday afternoon and is set in a futuristic UFC match with giant mau5 bots. While Deadmau5 may not make many music videos, when he does, he does them right. The CGI bots look like they came straight out of a summer Blockbuster and the track is epic and has some cool lyrics. When chances of victory look slim for Deadmau5, Meowingtons appears in robotic form and evens the odds a little. Overall I love this video and if you haven't already, pre order the Mau5's upcoming album on iTunes.
Enjoy,

Koan Sound- Sly Fox

Another single off the EP which drops on Tuesday, Sly Fox starts of as a sly, smooth tune and quickly erupts into the usual massive glitch hop, funky sound that Koan Sound have mastered. I so dig the riffs in Sly Fox and I can't wait to hear the rest of the EP on Tuesday. This track is up for free download so enjoy and buy the EP when it drops on Tuesday!
Enjoy,

Adorable Twins Love Dad's Guitar

Thomas Gold- 3 Bootleg Pack

Even though I don't usually post bootlegs during the week, these three I couldn't hold back until next Monday. Continue reading after the jump.

David Guetta ft. Sia- Titanium (No Pets Allowed Remix)

I'm not big on David Guetta but this chill remix has some incredible drums that make the remix worthwhile. The layers on layers of drums make for an incredibly chill version of the track and while the other remixes I've heard of Titanium have all been pretty hard tracks, this one is the best so far.
Enjoy,

Madeon - The City

Madeon's latest single, The City is undoubtedly tied with Icarus as my favourite Madeon track. Ever since it was featured on Annie Mac's show last Friday this track has been stuck in my head and at good reason. The single is available in the US on iTunes with worldwide release set for October 8th. For being pretty young, Madeon is one of the best out there. His attention to detail combined with incredible musicianship makes for phenomenal tracks!

Tee Ts- Back To School Vibes

While the title says it all on this one, this awesome mix is perfect as the summer winds down and school starts again.

Diplo - Express Yourself (Gent & Jawns Remix)

Express Yourself was one of the biggest tracks of the summer and sparked a crazy trend  similar to planking. Anyway Diplo's massive track got what a trap remix and while I still haven't really decided whether I like trap music or not, this remix is definitely an essential remix for anyone who digs the trap sound.
Enjoy,

Stardust- Music Sounds Better With You (Fire Flowerz Remix)

Fire Flowerz have rapidly become an obsession of mine over the last two weeks, this remix of Music Sounds Better With You is superb. With a sound reminiscent of Justice or Madeon, this remix has a great beat and uplifting, feel good vibes.
Enjoy,

Skrillex & Damian Marley – Make It Bun Dem After Hours EP

While we do finally have a release from Skrillex, this remix package of the collaboration track between Damian Marley and Skrillex is a little on the weak side.

Dada Life- Feed The Dada

Dada Life's new single came out today. I swear each single is more bangin' than the previous, harder than the previous, and all around better than the last. Feed The Dada is no different. This epic electro house banger builds up and at the drop it explodes in a massive drop and becomes an all out rager. Be sure to grab the single on Beatport.
Enjoy,

Chris Brown - Don't Wake Me Up (TheFatRat Remix)

Oh how I love the FatRat. While I could count the number of times I've listened to a Chris Brown song on one hand, this remix of his track is sensationally beautiful. The FatRat's remixes are absolutely great and this one is nothing less. The remix has a distinctive poppy, electro beat that is exceptional. This is the only way I'll ever jam to a Chris Brown song.
Enjoy,

Skrillex & Damian "Jr. Gong" Marley - Make It Bun Dem After Hours EP [TEASER]

While I've already listened to the EP, here a teaser for the Make It Bun Dem After Hours EP dropping tomorrow on Owsla and Big Beat.

Hard Rock Sofa – Kaleidoscope

With massive tracks like Here We Go and Quasar in their arsenal of crazy tracks, Hard Rock Sofa's next single, Kaleidoscope, follows suit. Kaleidoscope is yet another electro banger. Head over to Beatport to grab this nasty track.
Enjoy,

Kaskade & Deadmau5 – Trap For Me (Van Toth Trap Bootleg)

The talented young Miami producer, Van Toth's trap bootleg of Move for Me is an exceptional track. The original is already a pretty laid back, mellow song and what Van Toth has done with it is incredible. It's not a hard trap remix that's more common, but instead we get a really mellow trap sound that I really dig.
Enjoy,

JackLNDN - 21st Birthday Mix

JackLNDN continues to impress with me with his awesome remixes of Zedd's Spectrum and Madeon's Finale. This is the first time I've heard a mix from him and to celebrate his 21st birthday he's given us a really great 5 minute "mini mix" that packs 29 huge, recognisable songs. Definitely give this one a listen and enjoy the download.
Tracklist after the jump.

Creamfields Festival shut down due to flooding

Creamfields is the biggest festival of the year for the U.K. and it is incredibly unfortunate that the third day of the festival was shut down due to severe flooding. With headlining acts including Deadmau5, Tiesto and Groove Armada set to perform today, the festival is being evacuated by the local police. It was certainly a good idea to shut dwon the festival considering the circumstances. Safe travels to all attending the festival!

M4SONIC - Weapon (Live Launchpad Mashup)

Wow. This is like Madeon all over again, and I mean that in the best way possible. This incredible live mashup my M4SONIC is crazy. Using just a Launchpad and Ableton, M4SONIC seamlessly blends a whole whack of Skrillex tracks, as well as Knife Party, Deadmau5 and Porter Robinson. While this is the same concept from Madeon's Pop Culture it's a whole different genre M4SONIC caters to here. Keep your eyes peeled, this guy will be back, just remember how hugely Madeon took off after Pop Culture.
Enjoy,

Koan Sound- 80s Fitness

A fresh glitch hop or "funkstep" track off their latest Ep, The Adventures of Mr Fox, dropping September 4th on Owsla, 80s Fitness is a funky new glitch hop track that packs a serious amount of bass.
Enjoy,

Saturday Spotlight #9- Dillon Francis

Over the past few months I've become a massive fan of L.A. based producer Dillon Francis. While being quite the internet troll, Francis was a massive pioneer of Moombathon with Masta Blasta. While his "Rebirth" of the track is awesome, it's the  original that did it for me. Since he signed to OWSLA, he's become so much more popular, releasing IDGAFOS and the Something Something Awesome EP. His most recent remix of Madeon's Finale was a giant moobathon remix that just went up on Beatport a few days ago. While touring across the world this summer, playing shows from Ibiza to Hard Fest, his Wet & Reckless tour kicks off this fall and runs from September to November. Be sure to follow Dillon Francis on TwitterFacebook, and YouTube for some of the funniest posts and videos out there. Be sure to check out the sneak preview for his Rebirth music video.

EDM Protegees

New York Times recently wrote a really cool article on EDM protegees such as Zedd, Madeon, and Porter Robinson. Read the full post after the jump!

Frank Ocean – Pyramids (Kastle Remix)

Frank Ocean's Channel Orange was highly popular, mainly because of the news he dropped just as it released, but nonetheless, a brilliant album from him. One of the bigger tracks, Pyramids, receives a stunning R&B remix from Kastle that adds a lot to the album.

Feed Me – Little Cat Steps, Annie Mac mix & epic stage set up

Our favourite intergalactic green monster is back from space and he brought a brand new banger of a track. Feed Me's Little Cat Steps is the first track since last years highly successful Escape From Electric Mountain EP and man does it pack a punch. With a heavy bass lick and monster synth lines this track is nothing short of epic and I'm so happy to have a new Feed Me Track in my library. Be sure to head over to iTunes to grab the single.
Enjoy,

PS. while I'm on the topic of Feed Me, the stage set up is incredibly cool and deserved a picture.

PPS. also check out the mini mix Feed Me did for Annie Mac on BBC Radio 1 a few weeks back, it was epic.

Dada Life - Feed The Dada (Dyro Remix) Preview

3LAU Haus 5 & 3LAU Your Mind Tour

Today we've got a double feature post from Blau, he announced the first wave of dates for his upcoming fall tour, titled 3LAU Your Mind. Tickets available here

Back to the music, 3LAU Haus 5 also came out today and I can easily say this one is his best so far. While the podcast has a progressive, end of summer vibe it still packs some great beats including three new bootlegs packed in there.
Enjoy,

Madeon- The City (Teaser)

While it feels like Finale came out a week ago, Madeon's putting more fuel in the fire by dropping a teaser on YouTube for his upcoming single, The City. The track itself has some nice clipped vocals after the beat drop and the single is set to release this month.
Enjoy,

Sub Focus- Tidal Wave ft. Alpines (Preview)

As the first track since the Falling Down EP, this teaser is really exciting as it follows suit in Sub Focus' sound and has a really catchy synth lead.

Nicky Romero & Calvin Harris- Iron (Preview)

Earlier today we got a great teaser for a big collaboration from Nicky Romero and Calvin Harris. The result is a giant electro house track. I can't wait for the full version of this track to drop.
Enjoy,

Zedd- Clarity

Today we received official confirmation of Zedd's album dropping October 9th on Interscope Records. Zedd is probably my favourite producer right now and this album is gonna be massive. In an interview, DJ photographer Rukes says that this album is full of tracks like Spectrum which is brilliant news.

HARD Summer 2012 Official Recap Video

Today we got the official aftermath video from Hard Summer 2012. Man I wish I could have been there, It certainly looked like a sweet time from the video and there was even an Owsla tent which I probably would have died for. For full photography coverage head over to Rukes' Website for photos from the festival.
Enjoy,

Kill The Noise - Kill the Noise Pt. I (Music Video)

Music videos as of late have all been spectacular. We had Porter's Language video, Zedd's Spectrum video and now we have a music video for KTN's Kill The Noise Pt. I. The video is appropriately set in a post apocalyptic world where humans have been infected with "the noise" and a band of merry survivors battle their way through hordes of zombies. The drop is well timed with the video and all in all a great video.

Sneak Peek: Professional Griefers Video Shoot

When Deadmau5 posted on his Twitter feed a few months ago that he need volunteers for a video shoot, I had no idea what he was talking about when I saw this video and realised at the same time that when I pre ordered his latest album, that there was a music video on the album for Professional Griefers. This video gives you a quick look in to the making of the video which involves a sort of gladiatorial match between two sluggish looking Mau5 bots.

Be sure to pre order the album if you haven't on iTunes.

Madeon- Finale (JackLNDN Remix)

I was so excited when I saw this remix in my SoundCloud stream this morning. Since his remix of Spectrum, I've been keeping a close eye on JackLNDN. This epic remix of Finale is a great addition to the track.
Enjoy,

Bob Marley- Jammin' (Benny Benassi Remix teaser)

Benny Benassi recently dropped the teaser for a giant epic house remix of Bob Marley's track Jammin'. From the sound of the teaser, Benassi truly does the track justice.

Mashed Monday #8

I have to admit it's been a long long time since I've listened to anything remotley to do with Gorillaz. Demon Days was what caught me on to them, and Plastic Beach came along and quite frankly sucked. Anyway, this mashup with Gorillaz, KOAN Sound and others is a solid track.

Next up is the latest 5 & A Dime track that dropped last night. This week he's giving us a heavy drum n bass bootleg that revolves around the Skrillex "Goin' Hard" remix of Birdy Nam Nam's Goin In. The bootleg is adding to the killer pile of bootlegs that 5 & A Dime has released this summer.

Moving along is a mashup from the up and coming Luune. This one takes DYWC by Swedish House Mafia as well as a few others.

This one has some M83 along with the Maroon 5 track, Moves Like Jagger.

The Adventures of Mr Fox (Official EP Teaser)

Just as I was saying last week that it felt like Koan Sound had been gone too long, they've thrown an EP teaser our way for the full thing dropping on September 4th.

Nerd Rage- Porn Stache

I finally understand why people hate dubstep. Although I don't know too much about this Nerd Rage guy, this dubstep clip is possibly the worst thing I've ever heard. It's not that I don't like heavy dubstep, I listen to it all the time, it's just this is the worst dubstep song I've ever heard.
Enjoy?

Stayin' Alive by the Bee Gees covered by Jhameel

While it's not my immediate genre to check out, this is undoubtedly an alternative cover on a timeless classic by the Bee Gees. The cover by Jhameel, who I really don't know, has a really good smooth, soul instrumental with really smooth vocals.

Dada Life- Rolling Stone T-Shirt (Steerner & Tjernberg’s Bootleg)

When the preview for this bootleg which was dropped oh so long ago, so much anticipation built up today and after much wait, we have the final product. Steerner and Tjernberg are two names out there that hold the future of EDM in their hands. While it has been released as festival season comes to an end, this track will undoubtedly be played at nearly every festival next year, if not then I will majorly face palm. This is definitely one of the top mashups of the year.
Enjoy,

Thursday's Thoughts #3

I've got quite a bit on my mind this week. Although I've been pretty inconsistent with this segment it really comes down to whats on my mind and if theres nothing on my mind, no post. Anyway, I've been thinking a lot about the recent "EDM craze" that has swept the community. It's hard for me to tell if this swarm is just a spike in the music. For example, a few years ago when The Beatles Remastered came out, there was suddenly a giant spike in their popularity, but after a year or so, it stopped. My point is I'm starting to wonder if the same type of thing is happening to EDM or if people really are gaining interest in the genre. While I know that nothing lasts forever, and there are highs and lows regarding popularity, I think this is just a phase. I know for a fact that a lot of this hype is people jumping on the bandwagon. On a personal level I could name at least five people that have come up to me asked me things like "have you heard that one song by (insert Deadmau5, Avicii or Skrillex)". While the future for EDM may be a little hazy, it's clear that there are a number of artists who are ready to step up. In my opinion, the future of EDM sits in the hands of artists like Porter Robinson, 3LAU, Madeon, Zedd, as
well as Steerner & Tjernberg, who you'll be hearing more from later this afternoon.

Zedd- Spectrum (Music Video)

After much anticipation on my end, the video for Spectrum is finally out. The video tells the story of an alien woman and a man's love as they evade the government trying to track them down. At the finale of the video, Zedd hands them the keys to a very nice Mini Cooper and they drive off with Matthew Koma watching from a street bike. Zedd's full length album, Clarity, is set to release on October 9th on Interscope.
Enjoy

Wednesday 15 August 2012

Deadmau5- album title goes here

It's nice to have a full length album from Deadmau5 after what seems like a lifetime. While Zimmerman has big expectations to follow up 4x4=12, I know he can do it and I can't wait to hear the album in full. For now, head over to iTunes and pre-order this one, not only will you get the album as soon as it drops but also you'll get the Proffessional Griefers in it's entirety before the album drops on September 25th.

Steve Angello & Third Party – Lights (Preview)

A track that I recognize from Steve Angello's set at the Veld, this track with Third Party is the perfect blend of electro and progressive house.
Enjoy this teaser,

Rihanna vs Hard Rock Sofa & Esquire-We Just Can't Stay Away From Love (DJ Masl!nk Mash-Up)

Today we've got a great mashup from DJ Mashl!nk, this one takes the slightly over used Rihanna track and Hard Rock Sofa. Nonetheless, Rihanna's vocals fit in to the instrumental track nicely.
Enjoy,

Dog Blood- Middle Finger EP

Just days after posting a teaser, the two track EP dropped on BNR. Both have a very techno, industrial feel to it. I love the blend of Skrillex and Boys Noize and after listening to Next Order I did recognize the track from the set Skrillex threw down at TomorrowLand. Head over to Beatport to grab the EP.
Enjoy,

Ellie Goulding- Anything Could Happen

Ellie Goulding has quickly become my favourite female vocalist. There's something wonderful about how clean and original her voice sounds. Her latest single off her upcoming album Halcyon, dropping on October 8th, is a great track and just adds to the great tracks she's been coming out with as of late.
Enjoy,

Mashed Monday #7

The quickly rising NYC duo just dropped their latest bootleg. Taking Rihanna's latest hit and blending it seamlessley with Moderation's Groovy Movie, this mashup is part of their "all out 2012 dance floor assault".
Enjoy,

As promised, I've got a ton of mashups from Bingo Balls, they're all really dope mashups with some samples from big names like Avicii, Mumford & Sons, and many many more.
Enjoy,

Next up is a mashup from the protege ALKA, this one takes a classic Hard Rock Sofa track as well as "Blue".
Enjoy,

Koan Sound - Akira (Habstrakt Remix)

Koan Sound have been pretty quiet as of late so it seems the French producer, Habstrakt has stepped in and given us a sweet remix of Akira. This remix packs on the layers of dubstep and doesn't fail to please.

Sunday 12 August 2012

Coldplay- Fix You (Fjæstad & Kaady Bootleg)

An old yet unexpected track receives a complete makeover in this mix. It has a very warm floaty feel and is a great remix. Definitely a soundtrack for a warm August afternoon.
Enjoy,

Skrillex & Boys Noize form "Dog Blood"

While the two were experimentally collaborating in the studio Skrillex & Boys Noize form a collaboration they're calling Dog Blood. They've also given us a teaser of a track Skrillex played at TomorrowLand and the track will be released on both Owsla and BNR at an unknown date. While I feel the track has more of Boys Noize' sound you can certainly hear some layers from Skrillex underneath. Don't fret though, Skrillex tracks are notorious for being leaked so I'm sure there will be a leak or rip within a few days.
Enjoy,

Saturday 11 August 2012

Madeon - Finale (Dillon Francis Remix)

Well I've been waiting for this remix for a little while now. I've seen tweets back and forth between Madeon and Dillon Francis on this one for a few weeks now. This is the best remix I've heard in a while. We really get the feel good vibes from Madeon but we also get a real banger of a remix from Francis. The remix is only available for stream until August 16th.
Enjoy.

Saturday Spotlight #8- Bingo Balls

Chris Bushnell, formally known as Bingo Balls describes himself as a DJ, producer and all around good music promoter. While I've only been following Bingo Balls for a short time, he is really worthy of this spot with mashups that are near unparalleled. Born in Connecticut and raised in Florida, Bingo graduated from Rollins College about five years ago. While he originally started out with a blog he quickly began producing some of the best mashups out there. What really pushed me to do a spotlight on him was the latest batch of mashups he put out just this past week. While I'll get into the individual mashups  more on Monday, here is a mix of them all for now.

Jack Beats- War (feat. Diplo & Example)

First of all, I'm back after a few days of being unplugged. This track off of Jack Beats' latest EP with Diplo & Example is a sick track that has a solid beat to it.

Jack Beats- Epidemic (feat. Dillon Francis)

This moombah-electro track with Dillon Francis is nuts and has some dirty beats in there. Be sure to check out the full EP.

5 & A Dime- Damn Son Where'd You Find This?

5 & A Dime is plowing out tracks right now. This time he's taking hip-hop and trap music and it's a combination I really haven't heard before. The two work really well and make an interesting combo.

Mashed Monday #6 (Not Really)

Unfortunately no Mashed Monday this week due to me having been out for most of the weekend at the Veld. Also if I put out a post today it would be rushed and I feel it would be going out just to fill a quota rather than me putting it out because I found sweet tracks. Either way, I'll hopefully be back with the segment next week!

Zedd ft. Matthew Koma - Spectrum (Stratus Remix)

How this one got under my radar I don't know. Stratus' remix of Spectrum is the best dubstep remix I've heard for the track. This one's a filthy banger.
Enjoy,

Veld Festival Day 2 Recap

The second day of the Veld was once again nuts. Although I arrived pretty late, I was still able to see Nicky Romero, Bassnectar and Avicii, which I can't complain about. Nicky Romero's set was more progresive which was a nice change from the complete rager of a day before. Bassnectar's threw down an unbelievably intense set and Avicii was stunning. Also I finally found a video of Deadmau5' treat from day one. Joel recently got a holodesk and during his set he performed Closer on it. Not only was the holodesk incredibly cool but it also gives us a hint of what's to come from Zimmerman.

Veld Festival Day 1 Recap

I showed up at about 3pm and watched Dallask for an hour, which was a nice warm up. Next was Krewella who had a beautiful set. Then I headed over to the main stage for Steve Aoki, which was freaking insane, even though he only had a one hour set it was a massive set from Aoki including some new stuff. After Aoki, Knife Party showed up and blew my mind completely, with a massive bass packed set and when Internet Friends surfaced amidst their set the crowd went crazy. After Knife Party I headed over to catch the first half of Tommy Trash's set which was awesome before heading back to hear Steve Angello. Like our own piece of Swedish House Mafia for just over an hour, he killed it, playing SHM tracks as well as his own. The final show of the evening was Deadmau5, although by now it was pouring with rain nobody cared and we rocked out to his set, which didn't fail to dissapoint. I'm headed back down tomorrow and performances include Avicii, Bassnectar, Nicky Romero, Swanky Tunes and others.

Acetronik - Sex and Candy is Yours Tonight

Acetronik is back with his latest track. This one is a big banger track with a steady beat and it steadily builds up then breaks down and the drop is really good too.
Enjoy,

Saturday 4 August 2012

Ellie Goulding - Hanging On (Sound Remedy Remix)

While I'm starting to get quite bored with Ellie Goulding remixes, this one stands out in the crowd for me. Ellie Goulding's Hanging On was already a great track but I love what the remix does for it.
Enjoy

Saturday Spotlight #7- Zedd

The candidate for this week's spotlight is none other than Zedd. Known as Zedd, Anton Zaslavski is 22 years old and comes from Germany. Zedd is a classically trained musician born from two musicians and in 2009 he began producing electronic music. Zedd is a major inspiration to me and as we all know I clearly have an addiction with Spectrum, It is by far my favourite track of the year. Since Zedd joined Owsla back in September, he's released a ton of huge singles including Shave It, Shotgun, his remix of Breakn' a Sweat for Skrillex, and of course Spectrum. He's just come off the back of his Spectrum EP as well as a collaboration with Nicky Romero. Be sure to check any of the track here that you may not have heard of, they're all epic.
Enjoy

Wax Motif - Ctrl-66

Well I've only recently become a fan of Wax Motif, the tracks can be described as epic big house. The latest single, Ctrl 66 follows suit of what I've seen so far.

Friday 3 August 2012

Deadmau5 - Strobe (Alesia Score Edit)

As if Strobe wasn't already one of the greatest progressive house tracks of all time. The duo from Paris known as Alesia released a scored edit of Strobe a few days ago and it's back more spectacular than ever. They've taken that crazy track from Deadmau5 that we love and really come at it from a whole new angle. This track is crazy and it's free. nothing more needs to be said here.
Enjoy

Zedd & Nicky Romero- Human

Zedd and Nicky Romero's collaboration Human is nothing short of awesome. We get the banging sound from Zedd which is reminiscent of Shotgun as well as Nicky Romero's electro beats. Snag the full track from Beatport.
Enjoy

Domo Genesis X Alchemist- No Idols

Domo Genesis' latest mixtape with Alchemist features many guest appearances including Earl Sweatshirt, Tyler, The Creator, Hodgy Beats and other guests. No Idols has some really sweet track but the one that takes the cake for me is the title one. I think the combination of hearing something new from Tyler, The Creator as well as the dark beat really did it for me on that one. One of the best things about this one is that the mixtape is legally free, which is something we don't see to often. Although there's no stream of the mixtape available, I definitely recommend downloading it and giving it a listen.

Adventure Club- Retro City

Adventure Club's latest track is a brilliant "clubstep" track. I really dig the clubstep sub-genre that Adventure Club has created. Retro City has a feel to the track that reflects it's title. Be sure to grab the free download.

Hardwell- TomorrowLand 2012 Live Set

Today we've got Hardwell's set from TomorrowLand. This one is the full recording for TomorrowLand TV. The Dutch house producer's set was pretty epic and did a good job of progressing from build ups to drops to breakdowns.

Thursday's Thoughts #2

First of all I watched a recent Deadmau5 interview from last week. Zimmerman clears up alot and really talks about his musical influence. Definitely essential for anyone who calls themselves a Deadmau5 fan.

I've not got too much else on my mind this week. As we move in to the weekend there's a ton of festivals coming up. Lollapalooza, The Veld, and Osheaga have some pretty sick lineups and I'm headed to the Veld this weekend so look for a recap video on Monday or Tuesday.

Porter Robinson - Language (Official Video)

Porter Robinson's Language is an incredible progressive house track and the video follows suit. Although some may argue the story is a little random, I like it and the video has some spectacular cinematic shots that captivate the track really well.

Rick Ross feat. Dr. Dre and JAY Z – 3 Kings Music Video

Since I listened to the track 3 Kings, Rick Ross and Dr Dre have really grown on me. I'm excited to bring you the video for 3 Kings. Although it's a montage video, it grows on you. The track is sweet and make sure to check out Rick Ross' latest album which dropped yesterday, God Forgives, I Don't on iTunes .

Tristan Garner- TomorrowLand 2012 Set

Today we've got Tristan Garner's live TomorrowLand set, which is absolutely nuts. Opening with We Will Rock You, it quickly progresses into some sick electro and cycles through a crazy arsenal of tracks.

Dream- This Isn't House EP

It was a year ago that Dream put the teaser for This Isn't House up on his SoundCloud and today he's finally released the track as well as three remixes in an EP. Since Skrillex featured This Isn't House in his South America video a few weeks back so much hype has generated about the track, making it only fair that the EP release on Skrillex's label OWSLA. The full version of the This Isn't House is an awesome dubstep track with a hard bass line. The first remix up on the EP is one by Flinch, which takes the original and really drags it through the filth in a good way. The next remix is by Topher Jones and it adds turns the track into an electro banger. The final remix on the EP is by LoBounce and it adds an easy moombah vibe to the track. All in all this is a must have EP.

Make sure to grab the EP on iTunes or Beatport.
